Who holds the money during a bounty?
The reward moves into escrow the moment the bounty is created. It only ever goes two ways: to the hunter on approval, or back to the poster on rejection or expiry.
What if the poster never approves?
Every bounty carries a deadline. If it lapses with a submission still unreviewed, mods can settle it, and unclaimed bounties refund automatically.
Do hunters need their own wallet?
No. A wallet is created on first use and payouts land there instantly. Withdraw to any external Solana address whenever you like.
Can I pay in something other than SOL?
Yes, any SPL token including USDC or your own community token. The escrow and payout flow is identical.
